Well, it's been a rather wet summer so far in here Ontario, but that hasn't stopped my enthusiasm for life and what's coming around the river bend. I've got FanExpo Canada on the horizon and I'm mad dashing around trying to get prints and a booklet ready for the event. This will mark the first major opportunity I've ever had to showcase my art, I'm beyond stoked but also entirely mad with anxiety. I still walk the woods when I can, even hiking through torrential down pours, haha. I need me some trees to keep those creative vibes radiating.
Riverfest in Elora is next weekend, pumped for the musical mind melt down by the river. The weekend before FanExpo will be my birthday extravaganza and the season finale of Game of Thrones! Holy stressed out Batman. Should be a good time and I'm happy to watch more insane dragon demolition.
Come September I'll be hitting the dance floor hard and prepping for my 21-day adventure to Japan with my dear friend Sarah! The ultimate dream come true! I know I'll find tons of inspiration while I am there so I can get cracking on my next gallery set and maybe even finish that manuscript! Keep your eyes peeled as I try my best to own Inktober this year, a sketch a day in Japan!
It's been an epic year punctuated with art, music, friends and family, and we are only at the half way mark! My only regret is I'll miss my amazing Man's birthday while I'm off adventuring in Japan. But who could pass up Tokyo on Halloween? Stay tuned for my adventures and artistic progress! I'll make sure this blog comes chock full of pictures (more interesting than these ones)!
I'm off to sling drinks and dish out food to pay my bills. Rock on party people, rock on! Peace, love and paint!
